About the Game

Adventures of Lolo is a very addicting and fun puzzle game for the Nintendo Entertainment System. (NES)

It was developed and published by HAL.

It was originally released in 1985 for the MSX. (The MSX is an old computer.)
Anyway, it had the basic Lolo concept, but a couple years later they created
Adventures of Lolo for the Famicom (The NES for the rest of the world.) (It was also called Eggerland in Japan)
It had some enhancments, and got two more sequels on the NES.

Anyway, below is the main points/gameplay for Adventures of Lolo for the NES.

In the game you control Lolo, the blue ball character you'll see in the logo on the top-left corner. He will have to go through 50 rooms, solve the puzzle in them, to save Lala, the pink ball character to the right of Lolo.

The game is so original, and so addicting. In each stage there are Heart Framers, a Chest, and locked door. You must get all the Heart Framers to open the chest, to get the Jewel inside which will open the door.

Now getting all the Heart Framers, and getting to the Chest afterwards is not that easy. It will get more difficult as you go along. In each stage there will be a variety of enemies. Some can move, some cannot. A common enemy is a Medusa, which cannot move, but if Lolo come in its range, left, right, up, or down, Lolo will be killed!!!
That is just one example, there are GOLs, which are basically sleeping dragons, they will awaken when all Heart Framers are taken, if you cross there front path they will blow fire at you, which will kill you.
There are a few other enemies, which you will have to use there weaknesses to defeat the rooms.
Each room has its own design, Rocks which cannot be shot through by Medusa's or other enemies, tree which you cannot pass, but enemies can shoot through. There are Flower Beds which enemies cannot enter, Deserts which will slow Lolos speed, water, and Emerald Framers, which are block that Lolo can move, these can protect him from enemies, but he can push, he cannot pull.
There are Magic Shots, which Lolo can collect in some Heart Framers. He can then shoot some enemies. One shot will put them in an egg, which Lolo can move around for protection, OR he can push them into water, which will let him cross!
Two Magic Shots at an enemy will make the enemy vanish for a certain amount of time.
There are even arrows in some rooms floors. These arrows will point in a certain direction. Lolo can only pass through them on the direction they point.

As you can see this game is unique. I don't know how you interpreted above, but if you like a good thinking game, you will LOVE Adventures of Lolo. There will be rooms you think are impossible to defeat, until it just hits you how to defeat them.

I love the Adventures of Lolo and its sequels. AMAZING Puzzle games.

If you start to learn about the NES and its games, many people will tell you to play this game, it is a legend, a true classic.
